Consorzio dell'Asti

AstiFounded in 1932, the Consortium for the Protection of Asti D.O.C.G. certifies the wines produced by its Members (47 industrial and commercial companies, 22 winemaking companies, 16 cooperative wineries, 6 second-line cooperative wineries, 87 estate producers and 11 winegrowers companies) and assigns the bottle's neckband bearing the seal of authenticity.

ASTI SPUMANTE DOCG
Unique in its category, and the only D.O.C.G. wine in its class, Asti D.O.C.G. is an aromatic sparkling wine par excellence. A pride of
Italian viticulture and oenology, Asti D.O.C.G. Spumante undergoes an original processing method, ensuring that all of the varietal aromas be fully retained by the bottled wine.

Asti D.O.C.G. is made with the moscato bianco grapes growing on the hillsides of Langhe, Monferrato and Roero hills in the famous wine-producing Piedmont region of Italy.

Asti D.O.C.G. has an intense aroma, encompassing a wide array of flowers and fruit--from wisteria to acacia, from elder blossom to citrus fruit--and culminating in a clear-cut honey note. On the palate, the clear sweetness is tasted immediately, pleasantly balanced by the wine's fresh acidity, which is in turn heightened by a fine, persistent smoothness. The moderate alcohol content (7%) makes it an accessible, genuine wine that fosters conviviality.

The ideal temperature for enjoying the freshness and aroma of Asti D.O.C.G. is 46°F, served in a high-stemmed wide bowl champagne cup, instead of the classic champagne flûte.

Asti D.O.C.G. is the ideal accompaniment to desserts and pastries, which perfectly match the sweet taste of this fine wine. In addition, Asti D.O.C.G. is also excellent as an aperitif served with cheese and cured meats.
