The origin of Premiata Distilleria G. Bertagnolli dates back to 1870, when Bertagnolli became the first distillery with a "waterbath" system in Europe. This new method resulted in the production of distillates of excellent quality and fully automated the production process through a variety of delicate distillation procedures. In 1886, the Distilleria Bertagnolli earned the award of Official Supplier to the Augsburg Imperial Family.

The distillery is located in the Piana Rotaliana, a landscape described by Dante as the "most beautiful vineyard in Europe", where there is an ideal climate to grow precious and aromatic grapes that are rich in flavor and taste.

Belonging to the Trentino Institute of Grappa, Grappa Bertagnolli is under strictly controls, with no chemical additions in their high-quality, natural products.

Today the distillery is managed by cousins Livia and Beppe (Bertagnolli fourth generation) Tradition, innovation, quality and prestige are the strengths of the Bertagnolli's business, an art carried on through time, faithful to its noble origins.
GRAPPA KORALIS
Grappa Koralis is a blend of Teroldego, Chardonnay and Traminer grapes picked in Italy northern region of Trentino.

This wonderful smooth grappa is the result of 20 years of experimentation in the art of aging fine grappa. Koralis' glorious amber color, vanilla flavors, and mellow velvety feel are due in part to two years of aging in small oak barrels. It has an alcohol content of 40% and is ideally served at approximately 60º F.

Grappa Koralis was awarded the "Grappa of the Year 2008" nomination at the ISW in Neustadt, Germany, one of the most prestigious international competitions for spirits.
RISERVA 1870
The latest creation of Bertagnolli, Riserva 1870, was distilled in 1995. 1870 Selection is a grappa blend obtained from the distillation of two different red grape pomace: Grappa Teroldego and Grappa Cabernet, which are aged for 5 years in oak barrels (Limousine, Tonçais and Allier).

Riserva has a rich straw yellow, amber color with a slightly aromatic and fruity scent. This velvety, smooth, finely vanilla-flavored blend is best paired with chocolate, cigars and dry desserts. It has an alcohol content of 40% and is ideally served at approximately 60º F in a whisky glass.

Riserva 1870 was awarded the Gambero Rosso nomination and the Golden Label at Vinitaly 2009.
