Serves 4

Amaretti are traditional Italian crunchy cookies that add a nice almondy touch to these adorable little mini S'mores. You can make them with either milk or dark chocolate.
12 Amaretti cookies, such as Vicenzi
12 small squares* of Italian chocolate, such as Perugina, Vanini, or Venchi
1/2 cup mini marshmallows
Line a mini muffin tray with mini muffin paper cups. Place an amaretto cookie in each cup and top with a square of chocolate and scattering of marshmallows.

Broil for 20-30 seconds until the marshmallows become golden and the chocolate melts. Serve warm.
*It's worth searching online or in gourmet shops for "napolitains," little squares of chocolate bliss. Lots of Italian chocolate companies make them. Napolitains are a perfect size for not only this recipe and for nibbling, but also for melting into a cup of coffee or for topping ice cream or cakes.
