 Perugina, founded in 1907 and located in Perugia, is one of Italy's premier chocolate makers and has represented all the know-how and experience of Italian chocolate art for one hundred years. The Perugina brand was first introduced in the USA at the 1939 World's Fair in New York City.
In 2007, on the occasion of the Umbrian company's centennial celebration, Perugina opened the Casa del Cioccolato. The tour inside the Casa begins with a visit to the Historical Museum that opened in Perugia in 1997. It pays tribute to the history of a business, a family and a city. This unique journey through the world of chocolate continues on to the heart of Perugina: the factory. A raised path reveals a charming view of the manufacturing departments - a collection of sensations and
discoveries accompanied by intense aromas make this an unforgettable journey. Seeing how the most famous Bacio in the world takes shape or the masterful skill that makes thin wafers of Nero Perugina can truly be a unique experience.
The Casa del Cioccolato also offers the possibility to become chocolatiers for a day by taking one of the many courses offered by the Chocolate School. This school is the first in Italy open to the public and it represents the greatest expression of Perugina experience, know-how and creativity. Here, Perugina Master Chocolatiers take participants through a complete journey through culture, art, taste and wellbeing.

To follow the road of innovation, in 2005 Perugina presents Nero Perugina, a new line dedicated to the pleasure of pure dark chocolate that fully satisfies the taste experience and the desire for full flavour intensity. The Nero Perugina line was created with this premise and was masterfully made in many flavour varieties using the skill and passion of Perugina's Expert Chocolatiers.
BACI
Baci , which means "kisses," are filled with delectable hazelnut nougat topped with a whole hazelnut and covered in a thin layer of dark chocolate. Baci have a unique taste, with a delightful contrast between the bitter dark chocolate outside and the sweet, soft hazelnut-chocolaty center.
NERO PERUGINA
From bars to thin wafers, to the creation of the Cioccolatino, the Nero Perugina line offers a unique selection embracing a variety of flavours and shapes.
