Since 1905 fine Italian pastries bear the name of the confectionery Matilde Vicenzi. The company was established in San Giovanni Lupatoto, at the gates of Verona, as a small bakery and grocery where Matilde Vicenzi, left a widow by her husband Sante, continued the family's business of biscuit and pastry production, especially savoiardi (ladyfingers), amaretti (macaroons) and sfogliatelle (puff pastries).

In those early years more than 62 precious recipes were recorded by Matilde's experienced hands. These recipes were written down in a small notebook which was diligently taken care of and safeguarded. Today's Vicenzi products are still made following Grandma Matilde's recipes.
The first turning point in expanding the family business occurred in 1912, when two sons of Matilde, Bepi and Angelo Vicenzi, went to Milan and purchased the first machinery for the production of cookies according to the syringe process. Today the small company of Matilde Vicenzi & Sons has grown to Vicenzi group, a group which is leader on the Italian Fine Pastry market.

Quality, which has always been a spokesman in Italy and all over the world, has made it the reference point for those who look for, even in the smallest joys of taste, all of the sweetness of the true pastry tradition… a sweetness that can only originate from great passion, a passion the Vicenzi family has handed down from generation to generation.
Vicenzi's "Classics":

VICENZOVO Using the original recipe, Vicenzi presents its classic Italian Savoiardo. Vicenzovo is made without adding any fats and with exclusively natural ingredients, without not a trace of artificial flavourings, colorants and preserving agents. Vicenzovo is excellent for breakfast and for making desserts; it comes in two packs, 200g and 400g, both containing individually sealed 100g portions.
MILLEFOGLIE D'ITALIA A typical Italian fine patisserie product, with its classic light and crumbly puff pastry: Millefoglie 175g, with the genuine quality provided by butter and exclusively natural ingredients, without the use of colorants, preserving agents and artificial flavourings AMARETTO D'ITALIA The classic Italian macaroon, dry and with the characteristic bitter flavour. Amaretto d'Italia Vicenzi is available in two packs, 200g and 330g. Vicenzino, the classic macaroon in a mini version and with a less bitter taste, is perfect as a snack at any time of day and comes in a 100 g pack.
